Auditions Announced in NYC for Cape May Stage’s 2026 Productions

Cape May Stage is preparing for its 2026 theatrical season by holding Equity Principal Auditions (EPAs) in New York City on February 26 and 27. The organization has released a casting call for professional actors, inviting a broad and diverse range of talent to audition for roles in its upcoming four-show season. The company is hiring under an Independent Theatre Contract, offering a $538 weekly minimum salary. Actors hired for the season will also receive housing with private rooms and shared common areas, as well as transportation reimbursement from New York City upon arrival. Applicants must follow standard Equity audition procedures. Performers should bring headshots and résumés stapled together, and carry their Equity Membership card to the audition. Cape May Stage’s 2026 season will run from June through December and includes the following productions: What the Constitution Means to Me
Rehearsals begin May 19, opens June 4, closes June 28 Kalamazoo
Rehearsals begin June 30, opens July 16, closes August 23 Your Name Means Dream
Rehearsals begin August 25, opens September 10, closes October 18 Murder for Two — The Holiday Edition
Rehearsals begin November 3, opens November 19, closes December 27
Performances are held Wednesday through Saturday, with Sunday matinees offered for most productions.
Wildwood Police Leader Completes Prestigious FBI National Academy

Deputy Chief Matthew Sicilia of the Wildwood Police Department has graduated from the FBI National Academy, a distinguished program for senior law enforcement officials. The graduation ceremony took place last Thursday in Quantico, Virginia, marking the completion of an intensive 11-week course focused on advanced communication, leadership development, and physical fitness. Sicilia was part of the Academy’s 296th session, which brought together 254 law enforcement professionals from 47 states, the District of Columbia, 24 countries, four military branches, and two federal agencies. Participation in the program is highly selective, with fewer than one percent of officers nationwide earning admission. The FBI National Academy, known internationally for shaping future leaders in law enforcement, requires applicants to have significant experience—on average, 21 years in the field. Many graduates advance into top leadership roles within their respective agencies. Deputy Chief Sicilia’s return is anticipated to bring valuable insights and skills to further benefit the Wildwood community.
‘No Shave December’ Continues Police Campaign to Help Local Hero and Fight Cancer

At the Jersey Shore, the Lower Township Police Department is going beyond the badge—and the razor—for a meaningful cause. After participating in “No Shave November,” the department has decided to extend its initiative into “No Shave December,” continuing its mission to raise awareness for cancer and support local residents affected by the disease. Officers are using the relaxed grooming policy as a way to spark conversations and gather donations, all while standing in solidarity with those battling cancer. This year, the extended campaign holds special significance, as funds and attention are being directed toward a local mother known for her tireless volunteer work within the community. Detective First Class Michael Iames and Patrol Officer Adam Hegarty recently visited the PHL17 studio to discuss the department’s efforts. They emphasized the dual focus of the campaign: increasing cancer awareness and giving back to someone who has long given so much to others. The initiative reflects the department’s broader commitment to community engagement and compassion, showing that even small gestures—like growing a beard—can make a meaningful impact when done for the right reasons.
