Cape May County Bridges Go Fully Cashless with E-ZPass System

Travelers heading to several Jersey Shore towns will now experience a smoother ride, as five key bridges officially transitioned to all-electronic tolling this past weekend. The Cape May County Bridge Commission has eliminated cash payments across the following bridges:  Corson's Inlet Bridge,  Grassy Sound Bridge,  Middle Thorofare Bridge,  Ocean City-Longport Bridge,  Townsends Inlet Bridge.  Drivers with E-ZPass will have tolls deducted automatically as they pass through. Those without E-ZPass will have their license plates photographed, and a bill will be mailed directly to them. Meanwhile, plans to make the Atlantic City Expressway the first completely cashless toll road in New Jersey have been postponed.

Go-Kart Track Near Morey’s Piers Up for Sale Amid Wildwood Redevelopment Plans

A long-vacant go-kart track near the Wildwood Boardwalk, once a bustling attraction for thousands of visitors, has been listed for sale at $6.9 million. The 1-acre property, located in the 300 block of East Cedar Avenue, also includes an on-site parking garage and is zoned for commercial use—making it a prime target for future redevelopment. A preliminary redevelopment study, available on Wildwood's municipal website, outlines possible revitalization efforts for the area, signaling that the city is actively encouraging new commercial projects to breathe fresh life into this stretch of the Boardwalk. The sale of the go-kart track presents both a sentimental farewell to another piece of Wildwood's recreational past and an opportunity for a new chapter of development along the iconic shoreline.
