Cape May’s Music Scene Heats Up with Spring 2025 Exit Zero Jazz Festival

The 2025 Spring Exit Zero Jazz Festival will be held May 16–18 in Cape May, NJ, featuring international jazz artists like Samara Joy, Terence Blanchard, and the Captain Black Big Band with Lisa Fischer. The three-day event includes performances at Cape May Convention Hall and various venues around town, with second-line parades, and artist talks. In addition to the main performances, festivalgoers can enjoy artist conversations hosted by WRTI radio, student band showcases, and Cape May’s flourishing craft beer, winery, and distillery scene. Whether dancing through the streets or discovering a new favorite musician, the Exit Zero Jazz Festival offers an unforgettable weekend of music, community, and celebration.
After Last Year's Chaos, Wildwood Cracks Down for a Safer Summer

Wildwood has banned alcohol on its beaches and boardwalk and introduced new ordinances to maintain public safety ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Measures include a 10 PM youth curfew, backpack ban, increased law enforcement, vehicle barriers, enhanced surveillance, stricter rental rules, and proactive social media monitoring. These new actions follow last year’s Memorial Day weekend, during which Wildwood faced a state of emergency triggered by overwhelming crowds of unsupervised young people. The volume of emergency calls exceeded the police department’s capacity, highlighting the need for stronger preventive measures. City leaders emphasized their commitment to balancing a festive atmosphere with the need for public safety, thanking public safety officials for their ongoing dedication.
