Cape May Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects in Summer Shoplifting Case

 

 Cape May Police are investigating a shoplifting incident and are seeking the public’s help to identify two women captured in surveillance photos. The case is part of a broader seasonal rise in shoplifting across South Jersey. Anyone with information that may assist in the identification process is encouraged to contact police. Police remind residents that all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

 According to a recent analysis by Gourmet Marketing, a hotel marketing agency, Sunset Beach in Cape May  has been named the top U.S. destination for picture-perfect sunsets. The study reviewed thousands of TripAdvisor posts, focusing on how often visitors specifically mentioned sunsets in their reviews. Sunset Beach stood out with an impressive 38.1% of reviews highlighting the sunset experience. Nestled along the Delaware Bay, the beach offers a serene setting where golden skies reflect off the water, and the rusted remains of the SS Atlantus shipwreck provide a hauntingly beautiful silhouette as dusk settles in. Unlike many crowded coastal attractions, Sunset Beach has managed to retain a quiet charm, offering an atmosphere more reminiscent of a hidden gem than a bustling tourist hotspot. The combination of tranquil surroundings and cinematic skies seems to have struck a chord with travelers, earning it top marks in the nationwide sunset rankings.

Ocean City Launches Smart Parking System to Ease Summer Traffic 

 Ocean City has launched a real-time parking guidance system to help visitors locate open spots in paid municipal lots. The system includes a free mobile app and roadside digital signs, providing live updates on parking availability. The initiative is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance traffic flow and visitor convenience. This new effort builds on last year’s “Always a Spot in Ocean City” campaign, which aims to improve traffic flow, support local businesses, and make parking more convenient for residents and tourists alike.
