Crystal Waters in Cape May County? This NJ Beach Might Surprise You

While New Jersey beaches may not rival the Caribbean for water clarity, Stone Harbor's 96th Street Beach in Cape May County stands out for having the clearest water on the Jersey Shore, according to OnlyInYourState.com. Stone Harbor, a small coastal town with under 1,000 year-round residents, transforms during the summer, attracting over 20,000 vacationers seeking a quieter beach experience. Unlike some bustling shore towns, Stone Harbor has no boardwalk, offering a more peaceful retreat. Other clean and clear beaches include locations in Avalon, Sea Isle City, Wildwood Crest, Margate, and Point Pleasant. While New Jersey may not offer Caribbean-style water, its shoreline delivers in other ways—with community pride, natural charm, and a surprising number of clean and beautiful beaches that draw loyal visitors back year after year.
Storm Turns Dangerous, But Local Hero Acts Fast to Save Woman and Dogs

A woman and her two dogs were rescued after their kayak capsized during a sudden storm in Sea Isle City. Local parasail operator Brennan Bollard, who operates Sea Isle Parasail, noticed the distress from shore. Without hesitation, he jumped into his small boat and rushed to the scene. The woman had been swept into the bay along with the two dogs, and time was critical. Navigating choppy water and limited visibility, Bollard managed to pull both dogs from the bay first, then helped the woman aboard. Though shaken and short of breath, she was safely brought back to shore. The entire rescue was captured on video.
Boardwalk Bathroom Cameras Lead to Arrest of Philadelphia Resident

A Philadelphia man was arrested after multiple hidden cameras were found inside public restrooms along Ocean City's boardwalk. The discovery began when a woman spotted a disguised device in a bathroom near 6th Street. Additional cameras were later uncovered at other boardwalk locations. Harold Perkins, 38, was identified and arrested at his Philadelphia home, facing charges of invasion of privacy and child endangerment. Following a multi-agency investigation, Perkins was identified as the individual allegedly responsible. Police executed search and arrest warrants at his home and vehicle on Glenview Street in Philadelphia, where Perkins was taken into custody. He is now facing charges including invasion of privacy and endangering the welfare of children. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information related to the case to contact the Ocean City Police Department at 609-525-9131 or by email at [email protected].
