Jason Kelce Returns to Sea Isle for Two-Day Autism Fundraiser

Jason Kelce is returning to Sea Isle City for the fifth year in a row to headline a two-day fundraiser supporting autism awareness. The event features a celebrity bartending night on Wednesday and a Beer Bowl competition on Thursday, benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation and Team 62. In past years, Kelce has been joined by teammates from the Eagles’ Super Bowl championship roster. Although this year’s lineup hasn't been announced, notable appearances in 2024 included Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Jake Elliott, and Landon Dickerson. The event even saw a surprise visit from Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce—tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and a household name thanks in part to his high-profile relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
Stone Harbor’s Sacred Shore Revived with New Villa Maria Retreat Center

After closing their original 1930s retreat house, the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary rebuilt a modern, year-round spiritual center in Stone Harbor, reopening Villa Maria by the Sea in 2023. The new center reflects that balance of sacred tradition and community engagement. During its construction, a remarkable discovery added another layer of meaning: a life-size statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, dated 1909, was unearthed. It now anchors a peaceful garden of outdoor Stations of the Cross, open to the public. Today, five sisters reside at the retreat year-round, welcoming not just Roman Catholic groups, but any spiritual seekers. Guests have included university students, parish communities, and groups with a focus on healing and reflection. While it’s not a hotel, the amenities rival a resort—private rooms, a pool, and sweeping ocean views. The new retreat welcomes laypeople from October to April for spiritual programming, while maintaining the sisters' legacy and connection to the community.
Historic City Hall in North Wildwood Offers Glimpse into the Past

At 901 Atlantic Avenue stands North Wildwood’s City Hall, a central hub for municipal services and a treasured piece of local history. Beyond its role as a functional government building, the site offers visitors a blend of civic purpose and historic charm, featuring the well-known Town Clock and a detailed historical marker right out front. A standout feature is the historical marker detailing the story of the building's origins. After a fire destroyed the original City Hall at 3rd and Central in 1922, a new structure was authorized for construction on land donated by Henry Ottens. The current building officially opened its doors on January 1, 1924, serving all city departments and even offering a room for a public library. At one point, a six-inch naval gun and a fountain adorned the front lawn, adding a distinctive character to the site. Visitors can scan a QR code located on the historical marker to learn more about the building’s past, making it an informative stop for history enthusiasts.
