Netflix Seeks Real First Responders for New Film Shooting Across New Jersey

 

  Netflix is casting real firefighters and law enforcement officers for an upcoming film, Untitled Roommates Project, shooting in New Jersey from June 24 to August 12. No acting experience is needed, and pay ranges from $176 to $500 for an eight-hour day. Those interested in joining the cast can apply by emailing [email protected]. Applicants should include their full name, contact information, union affiliation (if any), a brief overview of their experience in law enforcement or firefighting, age verification, visible tattoos (if applicable), location, body measurements, and recent photos.

 

North Wildwood Police to Patrol West Wildwood Amid Officer Shortage

 Facing a shortage of police officers, West Wildwood will receive patrol support from North Wildwood Police under a shared services agreement starting July 4 through the end of 2025. West Wildwood has faced ongoing staffing challenges, including difficulty recruiting and retaining officers—issues that have left gaps in law enforcement coverage. Since January, multiple departments from neighboring towns, including North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest, have stepped in under a mutual aid agreement to help maintain public safety. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office will retain overall oversight, and the move replaces a previous mutual aid setup involving three neighboring departments.

Cape Regional Joins MD Anderson Network, Enhancing Local Cancer Services

 Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional has been designated an MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper radiation oncology site, expanding advanced cancer treatment options for Cape May and Atlantic counties. Cooper University Health Care leadership emphasized that this marks a major milestone in their commitment to expanding specialty care along the Jersey Shore. The addition of MD Anderson-approved services is expected to significantly improve both the convenience and quality of cancer care for local communities.
