NJ Jeep Invasion Rolls Into Wildwood With Four Days of Family Fun

This July, thousands of Jeep enthusiasts from across the Northeast will converge on the Jersey Shore for one of the region's most anticipated automotive events. The NJ Jeep Invasion returns to the Wildwoods from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13, bringing four days of high-octane fun, community engagement, and off-road excitement.
Set on the beach between Andrews and Cresse avenues, right behind the famous Wildwoods sign, the event promises an array of attractions including Jeep displays, more than 75 vendor booths, raffles, hands-on workshops, and a challenging beach obstacle course. Designed as a family-friendly gathering, the event is free for spectators.
Jeep owners looking to showcase their vehicles on the sand must pre-register online by Wednesday, June 18 at 11:59 p.m., as same-day registration will not be available.
Event Highlights:
Thursday, July 10: The celebration begins with NJ Jeep Invasion Market Night from 6 to 9 p.m. on Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood. The evening will feature food, drinks, and vendor displays in a festive, open-air setting.
Friday, July 11: Jeep displays and vendor booths will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the beach. That evening, the “Jeepers Back the Blue” fundraiser takes place at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum in Cape May from 7 to 10 p.m., with a $10 donation for entry. Over 350 Jeeps, live music, and food trucks will highlight this charitable event supporting local law enforcement.
Saturday, July 12: The day features thousands of Jeeps, vendor showcases, and the popular obstacle course, all taking place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Later in the evening, the Oracle Light Party kicks off at Kindle Jeep in Cape May Court House from 7 to 9 p.m., offering a vibrant display of custom lighting and entertainment.
Sunday, July 13: The final day includes vehicle showcases, vendor booths, obstacle course action, and educational seminars from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations on Friday and Saturday. Each donation earns raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes from participating vendors. All collected items will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.

Cape May to Break Ground on New Police Station This Fall

Cape May City plans to begin construction on a new $7 million police station in October. Located at Lafayette and St. Johns streets, the building will consolidate police operations and reflect the city's historic style. A 2020 voter referendum approved the facility. The project navigated layers of regulatory requirements due to its location near the city’s school, housing authority, and within a historically protected area. City officials described the planning as a lengthy and intricate process involving multiple agencies and oversight bodies. With construction now on the horizon, the city moves closer to completing a long-promised investment in public safety infrastructure.
Netflix’s New N.J. Studio Aims for Big Impact, Despite Local Concerns

Netflix has begun construction on a $903 million production complex at the former Fort Monmouth Army base in New Jersey. The project, expected to finish by 2028, will feature 12 soundstages, offices, retail areas, and support facilities across 289 acres. Demolition started in May, following years of planning and multiple local and state approvals. The redevelopment aims to preserve historic landmarks while creating thousands of jobs and boosting the state’s economy. Incentives have played a significant role in the project’s advancement. Netflix qualifies for up to $387 million in tax credits through the state’s Aspire program and may receive a 40% tax credit via New Jersey’s Film and Digital Media Tax Credit initiative. In exchange, the company has pledged to operate the studio in the state for at least a decade. State officials estimate the project will generate more than 3,500 construction jobs and create approximately 1,400 permanent positions. Over the next two decades, the studio is expected to contribute between $3.8 billion and $4.6 billion to New Jersey’s economy.
