Eagles Stars Make Surprise Cape May Visit Ahead of Training Camp

Several Philadelphia Eagles players, including Dallas Goedert, Landon Dickerson, and former teammate Avonte Maddox, were recently spotted enjoying summer in Cape May just days before training camp. Their visit follows earlier appearances by other team members across South Jersey beach towns. Tight End Dallas Goedert and former Eagle turned Detroit Lion Avonte Maddox were seen dining at The Ugly Mug, a well-known local hotspot on Washington Street Mall. Meanwhile, Pro Bowl Left Guard Landon Dickerson paid a visit to Coffee Tyme, another popular Cape May establishment. Dickerson, known for his friendly demeanor, was once again happy to take photos with fans. Despite changing teams, Maddox remains close friends with Goedert, and their joint appearance in Cape May reflects the tight-knit bonds formed during their time as teammates.

Beyond Haunted Houses: Cape May’s Ghost Crabs Steal the Spotlight After Sundown

Cape May’s beaches come alive after dark with ghostly movement—not from spirits, but from Atlantic ghost crabs. To experience these creatures up close, the Nature Center of Cape May offers its popular “Nighttime on the Beach” walks every Thursday at 8 p.m. Meeting at the end of Mt. Vernon Avenue, groups are led by a naturalist who shares insights into Cape May’s nocturnal wildlife. The guided adventure includes discussions on moon phases, tides, and night-flying insects before participants set off in search of ghost crabs, equipped with flashlights and the humorously named “Ghost Crab Catcher 5000.” All crabs are gently handled and returned safely to the sand. The guided program offers a fun, hands-on way to explore Cape May’s nocturnal wildlife.

Port Authority Tightens Toll Rules, Adds Penalty for E-Z Pass Misuse

Drivers with incorrectly mounted E-ZPass tags will now face a mid-tier toll of $18.72 across key New York and New Jersey crossings. The change, effective July 6, 2025, is part of the Port Authority’s plan to reduce processing costs and encourage proper tag usage. Toll by Mail rates have also increased to $22.38. The adjusted tolls apply to eastbound traffic on key northern New Jersey crossings, including the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge, and Outerbridge Crossing. The Port Authority, which operates without taxpayer funding, relies heavily on toll revenue to maintain regional infrastructure. This latest measure is part of an ongoing effort to recover from pandemic-related financial setbacks and to streamline toll collection efficiency.
