Atlantic City’s Soar & Shore Festival begins this week, with the renowned air show headlining the event on Wednesday and a practice day Tuesday. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Golden Knights parachute team, the GEICO Skytypers, and the Miss GEICO racing boat are among the performers. Historically drawing crowds of over 800,000, the Atlantic City Boardwalk is expected to be packed with families, tourists, and aviation enthusiasts. With forecasted temperatures in the mid-80s, the stage is set for a spectacular week of sights and sounds in the sky.

Bundy Connection Explored in Jersey Shore Murder Mystery

A new Oxygen documentary revisits the unsolved 1969 murders of two 19-year-old women, Susan Davis and Elizabeth Perry, whose bodies were found near the Garden State Parkway days after a trip to Ocean City, New Jersey. The new theory centers on Bundy’s documented presence in the region that summer. Reports indicate he was staying with an aunt in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, and regularly visiting his grandmother’s home on 26th Street in Ocean City. In an old recorded interview, Bundy admitted to being at the Shore in the "early summer" of 1969 and claimed he had “picked up” two young women during his visit. Although various suspects have been considered over the years, no definitive evidence has cleared or confirmed anyone’s guilt. The connection to Bundy remains speculative, but compelling enough to reignite public interest in this long-cold case.

From Lima Beans to Live Music: Rea’s Farm Reinvents Tradition

Faced with rising costs and a shifting agricultural landscape, Carol Rea Flynn and her husband, Kelly Keppel, chose to expand Rea’s Farm rather than shut it down. They built a new barn to host events and markets, blending tradition with agritourism to keep the century-old family farm thriving. With 50 acres of crops, restored vintage equipment, and a growing lineup of community events, the farm now draws steady crowds. Carol and Kelly also oversee a lineup of small farm traditions that keep customers coming back: cinnamon queen chickens that lay rich brown eggs (including a daily double-yolker), handmade jelly from the farm’s 350 beach plum trees, and fruit pies by Norma, affectionately known as “the pie lady.” A recent addition includes Friday night dinners and weekend breakfasts served right at the barn. Lima beans, once the backbone of the farm’s commercial operations during WWII, are still a nostalgic favorite. “We always sell out,” Kelly said. “People come in asking for them because that’s what they grew up eating.” While many small farms in the U.S. have shuttered—down 8% from 2017 to 2024, according to USDA data—Rea’s Farm is working against the tide. The couple’s intense dedication, deep-rooted love for the land, and commitment to community engagement have given the farm a new lease on life.
