Historic Cape May Gem Makes Elite List of U.S. Hotel Restaurants

Cape May’s Ebbitt Room, located in the Virginia Hotel, is the only New Jersey entry on a new list of America's top 100 hotel restaurants. Selected through a combination of consumer surveys and data from Kayak and OpenTable, the Ebbitt Room stands out for its farm-to-table cuisine, refined ambiance, and historic setting. Housed in a meticulously restored 19th-century hotel, the restaurant draws ingredients from its own Beach Plum Farm and offers a menu ranging from deviled eggs to rack of lamb. Its inclusion highlights both its culinary excellence and the legacy of Cape May hospitality.

Digital Driver’s Licenses Coming to New Jersey with New Law

New Jersey is preparing to roll out digital driver’s licenses, following the passage of a new law signed by Governor Phil Murphy. The initiative places the Garden State alongside 14 others, including New York, in adopting mobile driver’s licenses (MDLs) that can be accessed through smartphones and other electronic devices. Participation will be optional, and privacy safeguards ensure personal devices and data remain protected during identity checks. With $1.5 million allocated for the rollout, the state joins 14 others in modernizing license systems to improve public convenience and security.
