East Lynne Theater Partners with Stockton University for Mental Health Night at Every Brilliant Thing

East Lynne Theater Company in Cape May is hosting a special Stockton University night for its production of Every Brilliant Thing on August 28. The performance will feature a post-show discussion on “Creative Coping” led by Stockton’s Addictions Counselor Supervisor, Tara O’Keefe. The play, starring Rohan Tickell, explores mental health through a hopeful and humorous lens. This collaboration with Stockton marks the final “Talkback Thursday” of the production’s run, which has previously featured discussions on men’s mental health, family wellness, and the cultivation of joy. The theater company’s leadership emphasized the importance of this final panel in highlighting the college mental health landscape and praised Stockton University for its proactive wellness initiatives.
North Wildwood’s Trio Restaurant to Close After Labor Day Weekend Sale

Trio North Wildwood, a casual fine dining spot in Cape May County, is set to close after its sale, with its last day of service scheduled for Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The restaurant, located at 700 New Jersey Avenue, began operations after the owners purchased the former Amish Market site in December 2020. Since then, Trio has become a local favorite for residents and vacationers alike, known for its upscale yet relaxed atmosphere and community-oriented spirit. The owners announced the news on social media but did not reveal details about the new ownership or future plans for the location.
Sea Isle Reworks Stormwater Plan After Residents Decry Lagoon Pollution

Sea Isle City will revise the design of a planned stormwater pumping station after a large group of residents voiced concerns that the current drainage plan could pollute a neighborhood lagoon. At issue is the station’s proposed outfall pipe, which would release stormwater into a lagoon near 46th Place and Park Road. Residents argued the discharge would contaminate the water with debris, bacteria, and harmful chemicals—threatening a cherished swimming and recreational spot in their upscale neighborhood. City officials will work with engineers to revise the project, which is part of a broader $2–$3 million flood-control initiative near a new community center. Residents are urging the city to redirect stormwater to a larger, cleaner waterway.
