Exit Zero Filling Station Closing After 10 Years in West Cape May

After ten years of serving up an eclectic mix of flavors, Exit Zero Filling Station in West Cape May will close its doors for good on September 20. The restaurant, which began inside a converted gas station at 110 Sunset Boulevard, became a local favorite for its creative blend of Indian and Thai curries alongside American comfort classics like burgers and sandwiches. Its quirky setting and inventive menu earned it recognition from state and national outlets over the years, including a spot on New Jersey Magazine’s list of best new restaurants. The decision to close comes as the building is being sold. While the restaurant will shut down, the company plans to continue its retail operations, moving into a new space on the Cape May mall in 2025. Gift cards can still be redeemed for merchandise through the Exit Zero online store. Exit Zero will operate limited hours until its final day, open Wednesday through Friday evenings and Saturdays from noon.
Thunder Over the Waves Takes Flight in the Wildwoods Sept. 5–6

The inaugural “Thunder Over the Waves” Airshow takes place in Wildwood on September 5–6, 2025. Organizers expect more than 200,000 spectators to line the beach and boardwalk as military jets, aerobatic performers, parachute teams, and vintage warbirds take flight. The free event is poised to become one of the largest family-friendly attractions at the Jersey Shore. The action takes place over the ocean between Morey’s Mariners Pier and Adventure Pier, offering prime views from 22nd Street to Andrews Avenue. While the entire shoreline provides a vantage point, “Show Center” at Spicer Avenue will feature parachute landings, live commentary, and special demonstrations. Friday serves as a preview day, with practice flights scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The main event unfolds Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., promising a packed afternoon of aerial thrills. See the full schedule HERE.
