‘Ode to Cape May’: Two Sisters Drop Nostalgic Country Tune

Cape May County has long been serenaded by nostalgic tunes from musical icons like Bobby Rydell and Al Alberts. But now, two sisters from Upper Township are giving the beloved shore destination a fresh, country-inspired sound. Nikki Fournier, 27, and Hannah McGlade, 18, have just released their debut single, Ode to Cape May, on Partridge Records. The track delivers a heartfelt, sun-soaked tribute to the seaside town, blending sentimental lyrics with breezy melodies that transport listeners straight to the shoreline. Written by Nikki and Robert Penney, the song offers a heartfelt, modern tribute to the iconic New Jersey shore town. The duo is already working on a follow-up release and we can’t wait.
Celestial Spectacle: Blood Moon, Solar Eclipse, and More This September

September 2025 promises a dazzling lineup for skywatchers, with two eclipses, a seasonal milestone, and rare planetary alignments all visible throughout the month. The celestial calendar kicks off on September 7 with the Full Corn Moon reaching peak illumination at 2:08 PM EDT. That same night, stargazers across parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia will witness the year’s longest total lunar eclipse. Often referred to as a "Blood Moon," the event will see the Moon turn deep red during a totality phase lasting approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes. While the full eclipse won’t be visible in North America, online live streams will provide global access to the dramatic transformation. Also visible are rare alignments involving the Moon, Jupiter, Venus, and the star Regulus. The month ends with prime conditions for aurora viewing in high-latitude regions.
Cape May County Airport Secures $7 Million for Major Renovation

Woodbine Municipal Airport in Cape May County will receive $7 million in federal funds for major upgrades. The planned upgrades include the construction of a new terminal and renovations to the airport’s aging hangars. These improvements aim to bring the airport in line with 21st-century aviation standards and position it for expanded use, particularly in the northern part of the county. Originally constructed to support the U.S. war effort, the airport’s coastal location once played a strategic role in national defense. Today, it's poised to evolve into a regional aviation hub with a renewed purpose.
