East Lynne Theater Company Launches Cabaret Series with Edith Piaf Tribute

The East Lynne Theater Company is introducing a fresh performance series, Cabaret at the Clemans, with an internationally acclaimed debut performance: No Regrets: An Evening with Edith Piaf. The play opened on September 4, the production stars Yael Rasooly, an award-winning multidisciplinary artist celebrated for her expressive storytelling, music, and puppetry. The show, also known by its French title Je ne regrette rien: Une soirée avec Édith Piaf, offers audiences a moving tribute to the legendary French chanteuse. Rasooly brings Piaf's life and music to the stage with a blend of theatrical storytelling, shadow puppetry, and passionate vocal performances. Signature songs like “La Vie en Rose,” “Hymne à l’Amour,” and “Non, je ne regrette rien” anchor the performance, each presented with new emotional depth and visual imagination. The production opens the company’s new Cabaret at the Clemans series, hosted at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse on Bank Street. The series aims to highlight intimate, character-driven performances from unique voices around the world. Rasooly, known internationally for her solo stagecraft and multimedia productions, has received critical acclaim at festivals and theaters across Europe, North America, and Asia. Her appearance in Cape May marks her East Lynne Theater Company debut. Audiences can expect a theatrical experience that weaves music, visuals, and emotion into a poignant homage to one of France’s most iconic musical figures. This is the last weekend to see Rasooly as the show runs until the 14th. Due to demand, East Lynne recently added a matinee on Sunday, the 13th.
