The Wild Resort Breaks Ground: New Hotel to Transform Wildwood Boardwalk

Construction has officially begun on The Wild Resort, a six-story hotel replacing a deteriorated structure at 3000 Boardwalk in Wildwood. Once completed, The Wild Resort is expected to be a standout destination. Plans include six floors featuring a mix of standard rooms and suites—some with private balcony pools. The top floor will house a rooftop pool and restaurant expected to seat around 150 guests. At ground level, the hotel will integrate with a reimagined boardwalk-facing lobby and café, connecting directly with the corner Starbucks. After years of decay and delays, this marks a major step in revitalizing the Boardwalk. It’s part of a broader wave of redevelopment, including nearby infrastructure upgrades in North Wildwood.

Mary Roth to Perform “Enchanting Appalachia” Concert October 9

Folk singer Mary Roth will perform “Enchanting Appalachia” on Thursday, October 9, from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at the Sea Isle City Library. Using traditional instruments like the Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer and Bodhrán Drum, Roth will share classic Appalachian songs alongside a lecture and discussion on the region’s cultural history. A seasoned performer, Roth’s musical career spans from large festivals to intimate café stages, with her original work broadcast on radio stations across several states. She’s also shared her skills as an educator, having taught the popular non-credit course “How to Play the Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer” at Montgomery County Community College. Whether you're a folk music enthusiast, history buff, or simply curious, this event offers a free, enriching experience blending performance, culture, and community connection. Listeners can preview Roth’s music at ReverbNation.com/MaryRoth. Admission is free.
