Cape May’s Washington Street Mall Sparkles on Hospitality Night!

Cape May’s Washington Street Mall is once again embracing the spirit of the season with a beloved holiday tradition. Hospitality Night transforms the historic shopping district into a winter wonderland. Tonight, local merchants are rolling out special deals and discounts, welcoming visitors with complimentary lite bites and festive beverages amid the Mall’s signature holiday décor.
As twinkling lights and garlands adorn the cozy pedestrian street, the scent of seasonal treats fills the air, creating a magical experience for holiday shoppers. The joyful atmosphere is enhanced by live performances from the Olde Towne Carolers, whose classic holiday tunes echo through the Mall, adding to the charm of this Cape May favorite.
With cheerful music, spirited decorations, and warm hospitality, the event offers locals and visitors alike a memorable way to celebrate the season in the heart of one of New Jersey’s most picturesque seaside towns. Don’t miss it!
Cheers to the Holidays: North Wildwood Hosts 16-Stop Bar Crawl This Saturday

North Wildwood is getting into the holiday spirit this weekend with a lively seasonal event designed for adults looking to celebrate in style. The city’s annual holiday bar crawl, creatively dubbed “The 12ish Pubs of Christmas,” returns this Saturday, December 13, 2025, offering an evening of festive fun across 16 participating venues.
Organized by the North Wildwood Business Owners Association, the event transforms the coastal town into a walking (or jitney-hopping) winter wonderland for adults. From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., partygoers can explore a lineup of bars, pubs, and restaurants all decked out for the holidays and offering special happy hour pricing.
Establishments taking part include local favorites such as Mulligans, The Rook, Keenan’s, Owen’s Pub, The Surfing Pig, Anglesea Pub, and The Elks Lodge, among others. The event encourages visitors to get into the festive spirit by dressing in their best holiday-themed attire.
Geminid Meteor Shower to Dazzle NJ Skies This Weekend

Skywatchers in New Jersey are in for a celestial treat this weekend as the Geminid meteor shower reaches its peak from Saturday night, December 13, into the early morning hours of Sunday, December 14.
Known for its dazzling display of bright meteors and colorful fireballs, the Geminids are widely regarded as one of the most impressive and dependable meteor showers of the year. The spectacle is best viewed from dark, rural locations such as the Pinelands or the beach, far from the glow of urban light pollution.
The shower typically begins around 9 p.m., making it one of the more accessible meteor events for younger viewers and families. Observers can expect the display to continue throughout the night, with the highest activity occurring after midnight.
In ideal conditions, skywatchers in areas with minimal light interference could see up to 150 meteors per hour, while those in brighter environments may spot around 60. To get the best view, experts recommend lying flat on your back—either on a blanket, sleeping bag, or reclining lawn chair—and facing south. Allow about 30 minutes for your eyes to adjust to the dark.
