What investment is rudimentary for billionaires but ‘revolutionary’ for 70,571+ investors entering 2026?
Imagine this. You open your phone to an alert. It says, “you spent $236,000,000 more this month than you did last month.”
If you were the top bidder at Sotheby’s fall auctions, it could be reality.
Sounds crazy, right? But when the ultra-wealthy spend staggering amounts on blue-chip art, it’s not just for decoration.
The scarcity of these treasured artworks has helped drive their prices, in exceptional cases, to thin-air heights, without moving in lockstep with other asset classes.
The contemporary and post war segments have even outpaced the S&P 500 overall since 1995.*
Now, over 70,000 people have invested $1.2 billion+ across 500 iconic artworks featuring Banksy, Basquiat, Picasso, and more.
How? You don’t need Medici money to invest in multimillion dollar artworks with Masterworks.
Thousands of members have gotten annualized net returns like 14.6%, 17.6%, and 17.8% from 26 sales to date.

Cape May Mayor Zack Mullock Enters Crowded NJ-2 Democratic Primary

Cape May Mayor Zack Mullock has officially joined the Democratic primary race for New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, mounting a challenge to longtime Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew. Although Mullock is entering the contest later than his four Democratic opponents, he begins his campaign with several influential endorsements from South Jersey political figures, including Amy Kennedy, Cumberland County Democratic Chair Kevin McCann, West Cape May Mayor Carol Sabo, and State Sen. Jim Beach. Beach’s support is viewed as especially significant because of his leadership role within the South Jersey Democratic organization. Mullock, 40, has served as mayor of Cape May since 2021 after first winning a city council seat in 2018 and later unseating the incumbent mayor. He was reelected without opposition in 2024. During his tenure, he has highlighted fiscal restraint, noting that the city avoided tax increases while investing in major projects such as a new firehouse, police station, and library. He is framing his congressional campaign around affordability issues, particularly rising utility costs, and is emphasizing a bipartisan governing style. In the Democratic primary, Mullock faces civil rights attorney Tim Alexander, former USAID official Bayly Winder, activist Terri Reese, and teacher Bill Finn. Alexander brings prior campaign experience, while Winder has built a significant fundraising advantage. Mullock will need to quickly establish a competitive campaign operation ahead of key local conventions. If he secures the nomination, Mullock would then attempt to unseat Van Drew in a district that spans six South Jersey counties and has favored Republicans in recent elections. While Democrats see potential opportunity amid broader national political dissatisfaction, the district remains a challenging battleground.
Cape May County Receives Test Alert from National Tsunami Warning Center

Cape May County residents were briefly startled Tuesday afternoon after receiving a “TEST Tsunami Warning” alert through the county’s emergency notification system. The message, sent around 12:30 p.m., originated from the National Tsunami Warning Center and was part of a routine communications test with the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Mount Holly. Officials later clarified that there was no tsunami threat to the Jersey Shore and that the message was clearly labeled as a test. The National Tsunami Warning Center periodically conducts these drills to confirm that communication lines between federal weather agencies and local forecast offices are functioning properly in case of a real emergency. Cape May County’s Office of Emergency Management, which distributes weather and public safety alerts to residents, automatically forwarded the test bulletin through its public alert system. The technical message included verification details confirming receipt of the test by the Mount Holly office. While the alert’s format resembled a real emergency bulletin, it was intended solely to ensure preparedness systems are working as designed. Although tsunamis are uncommon along the East Coast, there have been historical reports of tsunami-like events along the Jersey Shore, including incidents in 1938 and 1944. Many experts believe those events were more likely related to hurricanes rather than true tsunamis caused by seismic activity. County officials reassured residents that Tuesday’s alert was simply a standard system check and emphasized that no hazardous conditions were present.
Wildwood Beach Box Rentals Opened February 17 With No Price Increase for 2026

Wildwood officials have announced that beach box rentals for the 2026 season went on sale online Tuesday, February 17 at 9 a.m. The rentals are offered strictly on a first-come, first-served basis and have historically sold out quickly. The seasonal rate remains unchanged at $480, covering use from May 22 through September 13. Beach boxes are 4-by-4-foot wooden storage units placed directly on the sand, allowing renters to conveniently store chairs, umbrellas, and other beach essentials throughout the summer. Due to strong demand in recent years, the city has added 30 additional boxes for 2026, though availability is still expected to be limited. Renters must provide their own locks, remove items at the end of the season, and store only beach-related equipment inside the units.
