Beloved A.R. Gurney Play Set for Egg Harbor City and Somers Point

Fool Moon Theatre Company will present A.R. Gurney’s beloved two-person play Love Letters in two Atlantic County locations later this month, giving audiences multiple chances to experience the intimate production. The show will be performed at 7 p.m. on March 14 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Egg Harbor City. It will then move to Studio;Space in Somers Point for performances at 7 p.m. on March 21 and 2 p.m. on March 22. Tickets are $25. Love Letters traces a lifelong relationship between Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, who maintain a deep, complicated bond through decades of correspondence. The play explores themes of nostalgia, missed opportunities and enduring friendship as the pair exchange letters over the course of 50 years. The production stars Rosanna Consalvo Sarto as Melissa and Paul Herron as Andrew. Both performers are well known to local theater audiences and bring extensive stage experience to the roles. Sarto, an Atlantic City area native and graduate of Holy Spirit High School, holds a BFA in Acting from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her career includes performances and directing work Off-Broadway and in regional and national productions such as Hello, Dolly!, 42nd Street, Bye-Bye Birdie, and Rumors, the latter earning her a Best Actress ACT award nomination. Herron, a co-founder of Fool Moon Theatre Company, has been involved in more than 50 productions as an actor, director, or producer. His recent directing credits include Pippin, Lost in Yonkers, and A Bad Year for Tomatoes. Founded in 2005, Fool Moon Theatre Company has staged productions throughout South Jersey, including a residency in Margate and performances at the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point. Advance tickets for Love Letters are available online, with additional payment options accepted at the door.
Doo Wop-Themed Super Wawa Rising in the Heart of Wildwood

Construction is underway on a new Doo Wop-themed Super Wawa in the heart of Wildwood, bringing a retro flair to the island’s growing list of conveniences. The new 6,372-square-foot store is rising at 3400 New Jersey Avenue, at the corner of Schellenger Avenue. The project replaces a former Rite Aid building that was demolished late last year to make way for the upgraded convenience store and fueling station. Designed to complement the Wildwoods’ famous mid-century Doo Wop architecture, the store will feature a neon-style sign and a retro-inspired color scheme. The aesthetic pays tribute to the resort town’s 1950s and 1960s design heritage, known for bold colors, sharp angles, and nostalgic signage. In addition to the themed exterior, the location will operate as a full Super Wawa, complete with five fuel pumps. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Once completed, the store will become the second Doo Wop-themed Wawa on the island. The first is located on Rio Grande Avenue near the entrance to the Wildwoods, welcoming visitors with a similar nod to the town’s iconic architectural style.
Investigation Begins After Human Remains Found in Cape May County Woods

Authorities in Cape May County are investigating after human skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area of Middle Township, New Jersey. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the discovery occurred on March 3, 2026, in the Whitesboro section of the township. A local resident walking through the wooded area noticed what appeared to be a human skull and alerted authorities. Following the report, law enforcement officials organized a coordinated search of the surrounding woods. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the identity of the individual and the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135.
