Meet the CEO Behind the ‘Starbucks of Flowers’
Kim Tobman knows how to build giants. Having previously led businesses like Savage X Fenty and President of SKIMS, she turns digital shops into household names.
As CEO of The Bouqs Co., she’s transforming the $100B flower industry.
The company is already one of the biggest floral ecommerce brands. Their model can get flowers farm-to-door 3x more efficiently, slashing waste to below 2% and fueling 270 million stems sold.
In just the past few years, Kim has launched 5 retail stores with The Bouqs Co., all profitable in under a year. Now, they’re ready to open 70+ more. These shops can double as fast delivery centers for high-margin weddings and parties.
Bouqs’ brick-and-mortar stores are already thriving. In towns with stores, the brand has seen 100% year-over-year growth.
With $90M+ in recent revenue, this company has become a nationwide flower powerhouse. Become an early shareholder in The Bouqs Co.

Wildwood Competing for Title of ‘America’s Favorite Small Town’ in National Contest

Wildwood, New Jersey, has been selected as one of 40 finalists in Parade magazine’s nationwide “America’s Favorite Small Towns” contest, which celebrates communities ahead of the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026. The contest highlights towns with populations under 250,000 that stand out for their culture, history, scenery, and community spirit. Known for its wide beaches, vibrant boardwalk, and iconic doo-wop architecture, Wildwood draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each summer. While the town’s year-round population is about 5,000, the population grows to roughly 250,000 during the summer tourism season. Attractions such as arcades, mini-golf courses, restaurants, and seasonal concerts and festivals help make the shore destination a popular summer getaway. Parade’s editorial board will now evaluate the 40 finalists and select five regional winners, which will be announced on June 1. The overall national winner will be revealed June 12. The winning town will receive a large promotional Fourth of July event, potentially featuring celebrity appearances, sponsor giveaways, and national media attention.
Small Cafe, Big Flavor: Salty Acres Becomes a Must-Visit Stop Near Cape May

Located at 3801 US-9 in the County Commons plaza, the Salty Acres Cafe sits quietly behind familiar chain stores, an unassuming location that makes the experience inside feel like a pleasant surprise. Despite the humble surroundings, Salty Acres has developed a strong reputation among locals and visitors in Cape May County. What truly sets the cafe apart is the welcoming atmosphere created by its family-run operation. Owner Derrek often works alongside his son behind the counter, giving the business a warm, neighborhood feel that stands out in an era of large chain cafes. Friendly staff members add to the experience by offering attentive service and sharing their knowledge about the menu and the cafe’s unique products. Popular items include the peanut butter cold brew, customizable acai bowls, West Coast avocado toast, and the Beet It Bagel. The cafe also produces its own handmade sea salts and sells locally made goods like honey, soaps, and coffee. With friendly service, affordable prices, and a dog-friendly environment, it has become a beloved hidden gem in Cape May County.
Thoughts About Daylight Saving Time

Did you remember to move your clocks forward this morning? Do you still wonder why we do? Daylight Saving Time was created to make better use of daylight during the longer days of the year by shifting an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. The concept gained widespread use during World War I and World War II, when governments promoted the time change as a way to conserve energy by reducing the need for artificial lighting. Supporters have also argued that the extra evening daylight can encourage shopping, recreation, and other economic activity while increasing opportunities for outdoor activity. In the United States, Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March, when clocks move forward one hour, and ends on the first Sunday in November, when clocks move back. The time change occurs at 2 a.m., a moment chosen because it typically causes the least disruption. Most people are asleep, businesses are closed, and transportation schedules are lighter, making the transition easier to manage. Despite its long history, Daylight Saving Time remains debated. Critics say modern technology has reduced potential energy savings and argue the clock changes can disrupt sleep and health. Some states have considered adopting either permanent standard time or permanent daylight saving time, while Arizona and Hawaii already opt out of the practice.
