The $66 Billion Opportunity in Weddings

Fact: People will spend for love.

Americans spent $66 billion on weddings last year. And, as always, flowers were a non-negotiable part of that spend. This highlights a unique market opportunity for The Bouqs Co. right now.

Famous for cutting the time it takes flowers to travel farm-to-door by 3x, The Bouqs Co. is already one of the country’s largest floral subscription services. But their latest expansion to 70+ brick-and-mortar stores could unlock more high-margin events, like weddings.

They already have 100% YoY growth in counties where stores have opened, with more than $1.2m in revenue per store.

You can join this chapter as they capture more of the $100b global floral market. Become an early shareholder in The Bouqs Co.

Cape May Lighthouse Opens for Rare Night Climbs Under April Skies

Cape May Lighthouse is one of the most photographed objects in Cape May, and with good reason, its beautiful, iconic and ever present against the skyline. If you haven’t stopped by to visit yet now is your chance to see it in different light, no pun intended. In April The Cape May Lighthouse will host. not one but two special nighttime climbing events in April, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the historic site after dark. The Full Moon Climb on April 1 invites guests to ascend the 199-step spiral staircase under bright moonlight, providing illuminated views of the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Later, the Stairway to the Stars Climb on April 17 takes place during the new moon, when darker skies allow for enhanced stargazing and clearer views of constellations. Both events combine scenic nighttime vistas with educational elements, as interpretive displays along the climb highlight the history of the 1859 lighthouse, its keepers, and its continued role as an active navigational aid. Maintained by Cape May MAC and listed on state and national historic registers, the lighthouse has welcomed millions of visitors over the years, though nighttime climbs remain a unique and less common experience. Visit the Cape May Mac page for more information on the Cape May Lighthouse and so much more!

Soar & Shore Airshow Brings Jets, Thrills Back to AC Beachfront in May 2026

The Soar & Shore Airshow is set to return to Atlantic City from May 29 through May 31, 2026, bringing three days of high-energy aerial performances to the beachfront. Taking place each day from noon to 3 p.m., the event will once again transform the skies above the Atlantic Ocean into a stage for military jets, historic aircraft, and skilled civilian performers. Spectators can enjoy the show for free from the beach, Boardwalk, or nearby oceanfront properties, making it one of the most accessible large-scale events of the summer season. Headlining the 2026 lineup are the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team and the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II Demo Team, both known for their speed, precision, and advanced capabilities. Additional acts include F-16 fighter jets, vintage warbirds, aerobatic stunt pilots, and specialty performances such as wingwalking, offering a mix of modern power and aviation history. Following a successful debut as a reimagined version of Atlantic City’s long-running airshow, the Soar & Shore event is quickly becoming a new seasonal tradition. Organizers aim to build on that momentum by delivering a family-friendly experience that also supports tourism and local businesses. With its combination of thrilling aircraft, scenic coastal views, and festive atmosphere, the airshow is expected to draw large crowds and serve as an unofficial kickoff to summer at the Jersey Shore.

Cape May Promenade to Close Temporarily for Preservation Work

Cape May residents and visitors should plan for temporary changes along the beachfront as a portion of the Promenade closes for preservation work. The walkway between Convention Hall and Madison Avenue planned to be shut down staring yesterday March 25, until April 1, with no public access permitted during that time. The closure is part of a broader, ongoing effort to maintain and improve infrastructure throughout the city. Promenade preservation is one of several major projects currently underway, backed by a multi-million-dollar state grant. Work along Beach Avenue is expected to continue through May 2026, with intermittent parking impacts in the surrounding area. Citywide, multiple construction initiatives are in progress or preparing to begin. Among them is the rehabilitation of Harborview Park, scheduled to start in early 2026, and continued upgrades at Lafayette Street Park, including new recreational features and open space improvements. Utility upgrades are also moving forward, with road, sewer, and water system improvements affecting several streets. Additional projects include a large-scale sidewalk rehabilitation program, construction of a new police station slated for completion in 2027, and renovations to the lifeguard headquarters expected to wrap up in 2026. Improvements to public facilities such as the tennis club are also in development. Looking ahead, Cape May is planning several long-term projects focused on flood resilience and infrastructure, including a seawall extension, a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge, and a major water treatment plant upgrade. Together, these efforts reflect a broad investment in the city’s public spaces, safety, and environmental resilience. More detailed information, and updates can be found on the city’s webpage.
