Cape May Renaissance Faire to Bring Medieval Magic to County Fairgrounds

The first-ever Cape May Renaissance Faire will debut May 2 and 3, 2026, at the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds in Cape May Court House, bringing a full weekend of medieval-inspired entertainment and fantasy-themed fun to the region. The event will feature more than 65 artisan vendors selling handcrafted goods, live performances across four stages, interactive activities including archery and axe throwing, and a wide variety of food and drinks. Guests can enjoy musical acts, armored combat demonstrations, aerial performances, falconry shows, horseback exhibitions, and roaming costumed entertainers throughout the fairgrounds. Organizers encourage attendees to dress in medieval or fantasy attire, though costumes are not required. The family-friendly event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, rain or shine, with tickets available online and at the gate.

West Cape May’s Antiques Emporia to Shut Down After Decades of Business

A longtime fixture in West Cape May’s shopping community is preparing to close its doors for good. Antiques Emporia, located at 405 West Perry Street, will officially cease operations on May 31, 2026. The announcement came as a surprise to many. Some of the vendors who have operated there for years are relocating to other establishments around Cape May. The building housing Antiques Emporia has reportedly already been leased to another company, although details about the future occupant have not yet been released. In the coming weeks, vendors are encouraging longtime customers and visitors to stop by one final time to browse the shop and say goodbye before the final day of business. Many dealers say they plan to keep loyal customers informed if and where they reopen elsewhere in town. Antiques Emporia has long served as a destination for antique lovers visiting Cape May County, offering vintage furniture, collectibles, décor, artwork, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind finds from numerous local vendors under one roof. The shop is currently operating during its regular spring hours, generally from 10 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. daily through the end of May.

Coast Guard Salute at MudHen Brewing to Support Local Military Families

MudHen Brewing Company in Wildwood will host a Coast Guard Salute tonight, benefiting the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation. During the event, 10 percent of all beer sales will be donated to the nonprofit, which supports local Coast Guard members and their families. Foundation representatives will be available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to provide information about their work in the community. The event will also feature food, craft beer, and live music by Fat Mezz from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Organizers say the fundraiser is designed to honor the service and sacrifice of Coast Guard personnel while bringing the community together in support of military families in Cape May County.
