Your CFO opens Slack. There's a weekly Stripe revenue recap in #finance with a churned-accounts flag and a net-new breakdown. She didn't ask for it.
Your head of product opens Slack. There's a GitHub summary in private channel: PRs merged, PRs stale, Linear tickets that moved. He didn't ask for it.
Your marketing lead opens Slack. There's a Google Ads performance comparison in private channel, with a note: "Meta CPA crept up 18% this week. Might be worth pausing the broad match campaign." She didn't ask for it either.

Cape May Announces Beachfront “Hello Summer” Concert for May 22

Graphic from Cape May City FBP
Cape May is set to welcome the start of Memorial Day Weekend with a lively and free beachfront concert, offering a perfect blend of music and seaside atmosphere. The city has added a newly announced performance to its already packed summer lineup, giving visitors even more reason to head to the shore. The kickoff event will take place on Friday, May 22, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the beach by Convention Hall on Beach Avenue. The featured act, AM Gold, brings a nostalgic “Yacht Rock” sound, performing hits made famous by artists such as Christopher Cross, Steely Dan, Toto, Michael McDonald, and Lionel Richie. This beachfront show is just one highlight of Cape May’s broader 2026 summer music schedule. Beginning June 20, Rotary Park will host free “Music in the Park” concerts from Friday through Monday each week. Meanwhile, Cape May Convention Hall will welcome a series of ticketed performances from well-known artists throughout the summer, alongside additional free concerts held at the Cape May–Lewes Ferry Terminal during July and August.
Documentary on Rebuilding Ground Zero Coming to Cape May Point Arts Center

The Cape May Point Arts and Science Center will host a free pre-release screening of the documentary 9/11: Reclaiming Ground Zero on Friday, May 22, offering audiences a chance to reflect on the rebuilding of New York City after the September 11 attacks and the role public dialogue played in shaping the future of Ground Zero. The one-hour documentary explores the aftermath of 9/11, focusing on how thousands of New Yorkers participated in one of the largest public town hall gatherings in U.S. history to help determine what would be built at the World Trade Center site. The film highlights how public engagement transformed a deeply divided and emotional debate into a collaborative vision for rebuilding. Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live audience Q&A session featuring filmmaker Josh Sabey and Carolyn Lukensmeyer, founder of AmericaSpeaks and one of the organizers behind the public forum that brought New Yorkers together during the redevelopment process. Admission is free, but advance registration is required due to limited seating. More information and ticket reservations are available online through the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center.
Wildwoods Announces Full Lineup of Memorial Day Weekend Events

The Wildwoods are preparing for a packed Memorial Day weekend filled with patriotic tributes, seasonal traditions, outdoor entertainment and family-friendly activities that mark the unofficial start of summer at the Jersey Shore. One of the weekend’s signature events is the 10th Annual Flags of Liberty Ceremony on Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. near the Wildwoods Convention Center and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Organized by the Greater Wildwoods Elks Lodge #1896, the ceremony honors deceased veterans as families and supporters line the Boardwalk holding unfurled American flags once used to honor fallen service members. The event creates a powerful visual tribute stretching along the beachfront. Also taking place Friday morning is the annual Unlocking of the Ocean Ceremony, which officially opens the 2026 summer season in the Wildwoods. During the tradition, ceremonial keys are presented to local mayors and beach patrol captains, who then symbolically unlock the beaches in their respective communities. The Wildwoods International Kite Festival also returns Memorial Day weekend, running from Friday, May 22, through Monday, May 25. Celebrating its 40th year, the festival is recognized as the largest kite festival in North America and draws kite enthusiasts from around the world. Downtown Wildwood will also launch preview classes for its popular Fitness in the Plaza program on Friday, May 22, at Byrne Plaza. The outdoor fitness series, presented with Shore Fitness, returns for the summer season with Pilates and Bootcamp classes scheduled throughout the week beginning in mid-June. Shoppers and visitors can explore the Memorial Day Weekend Boardwalk Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday along the southern end of the Wildwoods Boardwalk. The event will feature handcrafted jewelry, artwork, home décor, specialty foods and beach-themed creations from local artisans and crafters. Memorial Day observances continue on Monday, May 25, with ceremonies in both North Wildwood and Wildwood honoring the nation’s fallen military heroes. North Wildwood’s ceremony will take place at Veterans Memorial Park beginning at 10 a.m., while Wildwood’s annual ceremony at American Legion Post #184 begins at 11 a.m. Additional information on Memorial Day weekend activities can be found at WildwoodsNJ.com.
