Cape May Point Arts and Science Center Announces Four-Day Conservation Film Festival

The Cape May Point Arts and Science Center will welcome filmmakers, scientists and environmental advocates from around the world this June for the annual International Wildlife Conservation Film Festival. The four-day event, scheduled for June 11 through June 14 in Cape May Point, will spotlight global biodiversity, wildlife conservation and environmental storytelling through film, educational programming and live discussions. Festival organizers say the event is designed to connect audiences with conservation issues through powerful visual storytelling while creating a space for dialogue among filmmakers, researchers and environmental leaders. The festival is part of a broader international initiative that hosts conservation-focused events across the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Attendees can expect a diverse lineup of films ranging from short documentaries to feature-length productions centered on habitat protection, endangered species and sustainability efforts. The schedule will also include filmmaker panels, interactive question-and-answer sessions, educational presentations and awards ceremonies. Several internationally known conservation voices are scheduled to appear during the festival. Featured guests include tropical field biologist Ian Redmond, recognized globally for his decades of wildlife conservation work, and journalist and filmmaker Jared Flesher, whose reporting focuses on biodiversity, sustainable agriculture and clean energy innovation. Environmental activist John Francis, widely known as the “Planetwalker,” will also participate in the event. Francis became internationally recognized after walking across the United States while observing a 17-year vow of silence following an oil spill in San Francisco Bay, a personal journey that evolved into a symbol of environmental awareness and reflection. Programming begins Thursday, June 11, with screenings highlighting local filmmakers alongside international selections. Events will continue through Saturday at the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center before concluding Sunday, June 14, with a special showcase at Cape May Convention Hall.

Organizers say the event highlights the creativity, diversity, and hospitality that continue to shape the local dining community. Wildwoods Restaurant Week is designed as a limited-time dining showcase, with participating establishments offering specially curated prix-fixe menus and promotional specials aimed at encouraging diners to sample new restaurants while revisiting longtime favorites. Additional Restaurant Week dates are scheduled for Aug. 23–27 and Nov. 27–Dec. 6. Participating restaurants will offer value-based menu options across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Suggested pricing tiers include $15 breakfast specials featuring an entrée, meat, and beverage; $20 lunch offerings with an entrée, side, and beverage; and $45 dinner menus that include an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Organizers say the event reflects the continued growth and innovation within the Wildwoods dining industry, ranging from casual eateries to upscale restaurants.
