The Polls Got 2024 Wrong. This Doesn't.
Pundits predicted. Polls projected. Most of them missed. Prediction markets didn't.
Kalshi is where people put real money behind their political read — which means the prices you see on who wins the 2028 nomination aren't opinions. They're commitments. Right now, tens of millions of dollars are already trading on who gets the Republican and Democratic nominations.
That's a different signal than any poll you'll read this week.

Ghost Crab Adventures Return to Cape May Beaches for Summer Nights

The Nature Center of Cape May is once again offering its popular summer evening program, Nighttime on the Beach, giving residents and visitors a chance to discover the hidden wildlife that emerges along the shoreline after sunset. Hosted by the Nature Center of Cape May, a New Jersey Audubon environmental education campus located on Cape May Harbor, the weekly program focuses on Atlantic ghost crabs and the unique ecosystem they inhabit. Guided by a professional naturalist, participants head onto the beach after dark to search for the elusive creatures while learning about their habitat, diet, and nocturnal behaviors. The family-friendly excursion takes place every Thursday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the summer season. Participants meet at the end of Mount Vernon Avenue near the Cape May Promenade rather than at the Nature Center itself. During the program, attendees use flashlights to spot and track ghost crabs as they move across the sand. The Nature Center also provides specialized crab-catching tools to help visitors safely observe the animals up close. The walk may cover as much as 1.5 miles across generally level terrain, including sandy, muddy, and occasionally rocky sections of beach. Organizers recommend wearing appropriate footwear and bringing essentials such as bug spray, water, and a light jacket for cooler ocean breezes. Public restrooms are available for visitors before and after the event. Advance registration is required, and children must attend with an adult. Free and metered parking is available along Mount Vernon Avenue. Operated by New Jersey Audubon since 1995, the Nature Center of Cape May is known for its hands-on environmental programs and commitment to preserving local marine and wildlife habitats, making Nighttime on the Beach one of its most anticipated summer offerings.
Cape May’s Wine Scene Expands with Opening of Seahorse Farm Winery

Cape May’s wine scene has expanded with the opening of Seahorse Farm Winery, a new vineyard and tasting destination located at 1076 Seashore Road. The winery officially welcomed its first visitors on June 4, offering guests an opportunity to sample estate-grown wines while enjoying scenic vineyard views just a short distance from Cape May’s beaches. Designed to provide a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, Seahorse Farm Winery combines a peaceful garden setting with a tasting experience centered on locally produced wines. The opening marks the beginning of what owners describe as a growing collection, with a limited selection currently available and additional wine releases planned in the coming months. The vineyard offers an alternative to the area’s busy beach and boardwalk attractions, giving visitors a chance to unwind among the vines while exploring Cape May’s expanding agritourism offerings.
Renovated Ocean City Pier Welcomes Anglers and Families for Summer 2026

The Ocean City Fishing Pier has officially reopened following a major renovation project that modernized the popular waterfront destination at the base of the Ocean City–Longport Bridge on Ocean Drive. A ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 5 marked the completion of the $731,545 project, funded primarily by the Cape May County Bridge Commission with an additional $100,000 contribution from Cape May County. The improvements transformed the long-standing fishing and sightseeing location with new wood railings and fencing, upgraded fish-cleaning stations, additional benches and picnic tables, modern trash receptacles, improved lighting, enhanced electrical systems, and new navigation lighting. Crews also repaired deck joints, resurfaced the approach walkway, added guardrails, and constructed a new restroom enclosure. Visitors are now welcomed by a new entrance sign, decorative lighting, and a flagpole. The project addressed aging infrastructure and maintenance concerns on the pier, which was created from a preserved section of the former Ocean City–Longport Bridge after the new bridge opened in 2002. Visitors arriving on reopening day praised the improvements, noting the cleaner appearance, upgraded amenities, and added seating. Anglers now have access to new fish-cleaning facilities with saltwater pumps and sinks, while families and sightseers can enjoy expanded picnic areas and comfortable places to relax while taking in views of the Great Egg Harbor Inlet. The pier offers panoramic scenery of the inlet, surrounding marshlands, and local wildlife. It also sits across from the well-known Malibu Beach Wildlife Management Area, commonly called Dog Beach, a popular destination for dog owners, beachgoers, kayakers, surfers, and boaters.e public safety while dredging equipment, pipelines and heavy machinery are operating
