Barefoot Country Music Fest Adds Florida Georgia Line as 2027 Headliner

Florida Georgia Line is heading back to the Wildwood beach as the reunited country duo joins the lineup for the 2027 Barefoot Country Music Fest.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley have been announced as the festival’s second headliner, joining previously announced country superstar Carrie Underwood. The four-day festival is scheduled for June 17-20, 2027, on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey.

The appearance will bring Florida Georgia Line back to a familiar stage. The duo performed at Barefoot Country Music Fest in 2022, during what became one of their final stretches of performances together before Hubbard and Kelley went their separate ways to pursue solo careers.

Five years later, they’ll be back.

Hubbard and Kelley reunited for a surprise appearance at CMA Fest in June 2026, their first performance together in years.

The reunion is continuing in a much bigger way in 2027. Florida Georgia Line has announced its “Anything Goes Again: The Festival Tour,” which will take the duo to major music festivals around the country, including Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood.

For South Jersey country fans, the BCMF appearance brings the story full circle, returning FGL to the same beach where fans saw them perform shortly before their hiatus.

Florida Georgia Line became one of country music’s biggest commercial acts after breaking through with “Cruise.”

The duo has collected 19 No. 1 singles and more than 18 billion streams. Florida Georgia Line is also the first and only country act to earn two RIAA Diamond certifications, according to the festival announcement.

Their biggest songs include “Cruise,” “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha, “H.O.L.Y.,” “This Is How We Roll,” “Get Your Shine On,” “Round Here” and “May We All.”

The duo has also received honors from the Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards and CMT Music Awards.

Florida Georgia Line is only the second headliner announced for Barefoot Country Music Fest 2027, following Carrie Underwood.

More headliners and performers are expected to be revealed as the festival lineup takes shape.

Barefoot Country Music Fest returns to the Wildwood beach June 17-20, 2027. Organizers say the seventh annual festival will feature more than 40 artists performing across multiple stages during four days of country music at the Jersey Shore.

Bob Baxter Memorial Golf Invitational to support Cape May County families

Golfers will hit the links Monday, Oct. 5, for the 2026 Bob Baxter Memorial Golf Invitational, an annual fundraiser benefiting Family Promise of Cape May County.

The event will be held at The Shore Club and honors the memory of Bob Baxter, a community leader remembered for his service and commitment to helping others.

Proceeds from the invitational will support Family Promise of Cape May County and its work assisting local families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. The organization provides shelter, meals and other resources intended to help families work toward stable housing.

The golf outing brings together players, community supporters and sponsors for a day of competition while raising money for the nonprofit’s programs.

Registration includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, boxed lunch, refreshments on the course and a buffet dinner reception with a cash bar. Participants also will have opportunities to take part in prizes, raffles and contests during the event.

Businesses, organizations and individuals also can support the fundraiser through tee signs and sponsorship opportunities.

Atlantic City Electric event connects customers with help paying energy bills

Atlantic City Electric will host an energy assistance event today to help customers learn about programs and resources that could make their monthly energy bills more manageable.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd.

Atlantic City Electric representatives and community partners will be available for one-on-one assistance, answering customers’ questions and providing information about financial assistance, payment options and energy-saving programs.

Among the programs highlighted will be the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, known as LIHEAP, and the Universal Service Fund, or USF.

LIHEAP provides qualifying households with a grant toward their home energy costs once per program year. USF provides eligible customers with a monthly bill credit intended to make ongoing energy costs more affordable.

Customers do not have to be behind on their electric bills to explore available assistance or determine whether they qualify.

The event comes one day before the new LIHEAP season begins Thursday.

Energy efficiency partners also will be on hand with information and kits aimed at helping households reduce energy consumption and better manage utility costs.

Customers who cannot attend today’s event can use Atlantic City Electric’s Assistance Finder at atlanticcityelectric.com/assistancefinder to receive recommendations about assistance and energy-efficiency programs.

Applications for LIHEAP and USF also can be submitted through the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs at energyassistance.nj.gov or by calling 1-800-510-3102. Customers enrolling through the state website should select Atlantic City Electric as their agency.
