West Cape May Christmas Parade Fundraiser Brings Live Music to Rea's Farm

A beautiful fall afternoon filled with live music, food, friends, and community spirit is coming to West Cape May, all for a great local cause.
The Howard Street Ramble Crew will take the stage at Rea's Farm Market on Sunday, October 25, 2026, for a special fundraising concert benefiting the 60th Annual West Cape May Community Christmas Parade. The event, called Ramble Crew on Rea's Farm, will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the popular farm market located at 400 Stevens Street in West Cape May.
With the community preparing to celebrate six decades of a beloved holiday tradition, organizers are inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a memorable afternoon while supporting this year's milestone parade.
The Howard Street Ramble Crew will provide live entertainment during the special outdoor gathering, giving guests a chance to enjoy music in the relaxed atmosphere of Rea's Farm. The event promises a combination of great music, delicious food, and an opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors while supporting an important community celebration.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the concert, with a portion of those additional sales also benefiting the West Cape May Community Christmas Parade. The West Cape May Community Christmas Parade has become a cherished part of the area's holiday season, bringing residents, families, and visitors together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
This year's parade marks its 60th anniversary, making the upcoming celebration especially meaningful for the community. Fundraising events like Ramble Crew on Rea's Farm help support the continuation of this longstanding tradition. By attending the October 25 concert, guests can enjoy an afternoon of entertainment while contributing to a holiday event that has brought generations of Cape May County families together.
Tickets for the Howard Street Ramble Crew's performance are available through Eventbrite.
Cape May's Trick or Trails Halloween Cleanup Returns October 30 With Costumes, Candy and Community Fun

Cape May is putting a spooky twist on community service with the return of its annual Trick or Trails Halloween Cleanup on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Cape May Nature Trails, located at 711 Lafayette Street.
Hosted by the City of Cape May and the Boarding House crew, the free, family-friendly event combines Halloween excitement with environmental conservation. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to dress in their favorite costumes, bring trick-or-treat bags and help remove litter from the scenic walking trails while enjoying sweet surprises along the way.
The event is a special Halloween edition of Cape May's monthly community cleanup initiative, designed to encourage residents to take pride in their surroundings while enjoying seasonal activities. Participants will have an opportunity to explore the nature trails, which feature a roughly half-mile walking loop through wooded areas and wetland habitats, while helping protect the area's natural beauty.
Trick or Trails also provides families with a fun way to teach children about environmental responsibility, volunteerism and the importance of keeping public spaces clean. The combination of costumes, candy and outdoor activities makes the cleanup an appealing alternative to traditional Halloween celebrations.
Admission is free, and advance registration is not required. Participants can simply arrive in costume with a treat bag and comfortable walking shoes, ready to enjoy an afternoon of community spirit and Halloween fun.
Drought Warning Lifted Across Most of NJ, but Coastal Counties Remain on Watch

New Jersey lifted its statewide drought warning on October 1, 2026, following months of improved rainfall. However, the Coastal South region remains under a drought watch as groundwater supplies continue recovering.
South Jersey farmers are still experiencing significant financial losses from failed crops and increased irrigation and fuel expenses. Reas Farm in West Cape May anticipates approximately $20,000 in lost income.
Agricultural experts warn that both drought and excessive rainfall threaten crop production, prompting farmers to consider improved irrigation and weather-protection systems.
Although the drought warning has ended, the agricultural recovery is far from complete.
