I Almost Threw Out My Keurig. It Wasn't Broken.

Every cup from my Keurig started tasting weak, flat, stale — so I unplugged it and stuck it in a closet. Then I learned the dirty secret of grocery store K-Cups: by the time a pod reaches your kitchen, it's usually spent months going from factory to warehouse to truck to shelf. The flavor oils are long gone. Some brands even over-roast to hide it.

The fix wasn't a new machine. It was fresh pods from Angelino's, a family-owned L.A. roastery that roasts, packs, and ships within 3–5 days — straight to your door, from 39¢ a cup. Over 1,000,000 happy customers. 50+ flavors, no subscription required, and 15% off your first order, applied automatically at checkout.

Cape May to Host Free ‘Monsters, Inc.’ Movie Night at Rotary Park October 30

Families looking for a fun and affordable way to celebrate Halloween weekend can head to downtown Cape May for a free outdoor movie night featuring Disney-Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Hosted by City of Cape May Recreation, the special screening will begin at 7 p.m. at Rotary Park, located at 400 Lafayette Street, just steps from the Washington Street Mall.

The event marks the conclusion of the 2026 Movies in the Park season, giving residents and visitors one final opportunity to enjoy a family-friendly film beneath the stars.

With Halloween just one day away, Monsters, Inc. offers a fitting choice for the occasion. The animated favorite follows lovable monsters Mike and Sulley through a colorful adventure filled with humor, friendship, and unexpected surprises.

Admission is completely free, and moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, or beach chairs to make themselves comfortable on the park lawn.

The downtown location also makes it easy for families to turn the outing into a full evening. Visitors can explore the Washington Street Mall, enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant, or pick up a sweet treat before settling in for the movie.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, especially with the event taking place during Cape May's popular Halloween season.

The outdoor screening offers families a chance to enjoy a classic animated movie while spending time together in one of Cape May's most recognizable downtown gathering spaces.

Boo Bar Is Back! Harry’s Brings Pirate-Themed Halloween Fun to Cape May

Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille in Cape May is celebrating Halloween in swashbuckling style with the return of its popular Boo Bar, a pirate-themed pop-up running through November 1, 2026. Now in its third year, the seasonal attraction transforms the oceanfront restaurant into a haunted pirate hideaway, complete with a real pirate ship outside, skeleton crews, treasure chests, ghostly portraits, eerie lighting and elaborate Halloween decorations. Guests can enjoy a menu of themed food and creative cocktails, including the Cape May Blood Moon Bag, Blackbeard’s Smoked Old Fashioned and Black Magic Margarita.

This year’s festivities also feature expanded outdoor seating beneath a heated tent, live weekend DJs, tarot card readings and special events such as Witchy Wednesdays and Boos & Burger Thursdays. Happy hour specials are available Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and all day Sunday. A Halloween costume contest on October 30 adds to the excitement as the celebration heads into its final weekend. Combining spooky entertainment, festive drinks and coastal charm, Boo Bar offers locals and visitors a unique way to celebrate Halloween at the Jersey Shore before the haunted pirate experience wraps up for the season.
