Why Overseas Producers Can't Undercut Atlas Salt, Even for Free

Cities are already running short on road salt, and winter hasn't even started. Some supply bids are going unanswered, prices have nearly doubled in parts of the market, and the backup plan is two weeks away by boat. Here's why Atlas Salt (TSXV: SALT | OTCQX: SALQF) can get salt to the people who need it most, faster and cheaper than anyone shipping from overseas:

• Three days by ship to Boston, not fourteen

• Shallow deposit that's cheaper and faster to mine

• Projected C$188M a year in free cash flow

• Export Development Canada interested in lending C$150M

• Early supply deal with top U.S. salt distributor

Country Star Lee Brice Joins Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood and More for Barefoot 2027

Country music star Lee Brice is officially returning to the Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, New Jersey, as organizers continue revealing performers for the highly anticipated 2027 event. The four-day beachfront festival is scheduled for June 17–20, 2027, bringing some of country music's biggest names to the Wildwood beach for another summer of live entertainment.

Brice, who performed at the inaugural Barefoot Country Music Fest in 2021, is the fifth major artist announced for next year's celebration. He joins an impressive lineup featuring Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line and Riley Green, with additional performers expected to be announced in the coming months.

The award-winning singer and songwriter brings an extensive catalog of country hits, including Hard to Love, Rumor, I Don't Dance, I Drive Your Truck, Drinking Class and One of Them Girls. With nine No. 1 country radio singles, more than 12.5 billion career streams, and multiple ACM and CMA Awards, Brice has established himself as one of country music's most recognizable performers. His return to Wildwood will include a performance on the festival's Coors Banquet Main Stage.

Brice has also continued releasing new music, including his October 2025 single Killed the Man and Truck Bed Mixtape, which are associated with his upcoming album, Sunriser. Festivalgoers could hear a combination of his classic hits and newer material, although an official setlist has not been released.

The 2027 Barefoot Country Music Fest is expected to feature more than 40 artists across four days and nights, transforming Wildwood's expansive beach into a major outdoor concert destination. The annual festival has become an important summer attraction for the Jersey Shore, drawing thousands of visitors who support local hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues and businesses throughout the Wildwoods.

With five major performers already confirmed and additional announcements on the way, anticipation is building for another major country music weekend along the South Jersey coast. Organizers are offering ticket packages and payment plans, with promotional pricing available for early purchasers.

Tickets and additional festival information are available at BarefootCountryMusicFest.com. Fans are encouraged to follow official festival announcements for upcoming lineup additions, performance schedules and ticket updates.

Climb 199 Steps to the Stars at Cape May Lighthouse's Special November Night Event

The historic Cape May Lighthouse will welcome visitors for a special nighttime adventure on Monday, November 9, 2026, when the Stairway to the Stars Lighthouse Climb takes place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cape May Point State Park. The event offers guests an opportunity to climb 199 steps to the top of the iconic lighthouse and enjoy elevated views of the surrounding coastline and night sky.

Organized by Cape May MAC, the experience is designed to take advantage of darker nighttime conditions, particularly those associated with the new moon, when stars and constellations can become more visible without bright moonlight. Weather permitting, visitors may be able to observe the night sky from one of South Jersey's most recognizable historic landmarks.

The Cape May Lighthouse, built in 1859, has guided ships near the entrance to Delaware Bay for more than 165 years. Today, it remains a popular destination for visitors interested in maritime history, coastal scenery and the region's architectural heritage. The special evening climb allows participants to experience the lighthouse's historic cast-iron spiral staircase and observation area after dark.

Tickets available from the Lighthouse Keeper on the evening of the event. The final climb is scheduled for 8:45 p.m., approximately 15 minutes before closing. Visitors may bring binoculars, but they must be securely attached or worn throughout the climb.

Located at 215 Lighthouse Avenue in Cape May Point, the event offers a distinctive fall outing for families, couples, astronomy enthusiasts and anyone interested in seeing Cape May from a different perspective. Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended, especially because November evenings near the ocean can be chilly.

Cape May County Stays Red: Republicans Sweep Commissioner Races Despite Democratic Congressional Upset

Republicans Curtis Bashaw and Patrick Rosenello won Cape May County's two commissioner seats in the November 3 election, maintaining the GOP's 5-0 majority. Bashaw, the party's unsuccessful 2024 U.S. Senate nominee, received 21,725 votes, while Rosenello earned 21,539. Their victories extend decades of Republican control despite Democrat Zack Mullock's defeat of Congressman Jeff Van Drew. County priorities include affordable housing, shoreline protection, tourism and airport management.

Despite shifting political conditions across South Jersey, voters again supported Republican leadership at the county level. For Bashaw and Rosenello, the next three years will bring decisions involving housing affordability, tourism, shoreline protection, economic development and county infrastructure.

Answer to the November 5th Trivia Question

What natural phenomenon makes Cape May a prime location for monarch butterfly watchers each fall?
A) The town’s unique elevation and cooler climate
B) A concentration of milkweed farms in the area
C) Its position as a geographic funnel along the monarch migration route
D) Artificial lighting that attracts butterflies at night

Correct answer: C) Its position as a geographic funnel along the monarch migration route.
Cape May’s location at the southern tip of New Jersey causes migrating monarch butterflies to concentrate there in the fall before crossing the Delaware Bay, making it a renowned spot for monarch sightings.
